We encourage you to get involved in supporting the arts within our communities because Arts Matter 2. The Cultural Alliance has become the voice for the arts and culture in Hampton Roads.

 

The Cultural Alliance of Hampton Roads was established in 1983 and serves more than 350 arts and cultural organizations, individual visual and performing artists, writers, dancers and arts professionals in Hampton Roads, as well as world renowned museums, a premier opera company, a classical symphony and pops orchestra, a prominent regional performance theatre, a ballet academy, many active community theaters, orchestras, dance troupes, choral groups, art centers, galleries and individual artists in all disciplines that all make their home in the Hampton Roads area from Williamsburg to the North Carolina border.

The Cultural Alliance understands there's a need to gather information, coordinate, and help make people more aware of the many cultural opportunities available in the Hampton Roads area. The Cultural Alliance functions as a “Chamber of Culture” for the arts and cultural organizations, directly serving these organizations and the public in throughout Hampton Roads.
